World AIDs Day – 1st December
Posted on:
World AIDS Day, marked annually on 1st December, is a vital opportunity to raise awareness about HIV, show support for people living with HIV, remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses, and reduce stigma and discrimination associated with HIV. The World Health Organisation has a goal to end HIV by 2030. Primary care plays a crucial role in this fight.
To mark World AIDS Day there will be events at the NHS One Bromley Health Hub, Glades Shopping Centre, on 29 & 30 November 2024, 11 am – 5 pm. This event will promote awareness of HIV and offer point of care HIV testing. The Mayor of Bromley will also be in attendance.
