Advice for people returning to the UK and travellers to the UK
You may need to get medical advice if you’ve recently travelled to the UK from somewhere with a higher risk of coronavirus.
These places are:
- Hong Kong
- Myanmar (Burma)
- South Korea
- Tenerife – only the H10 Costa Adeje Palace Hotel
If you’ve been to one of these places in the last 14 days, find out what to do using the NHS 111 online coronavirus service.
Information: Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Call 111 if you need to speak to someone.
GP PATIENT SURVEY
The 2020 GP Patient Survey has opened. Some patients registered at this GP practice will soon be invited to take part in a national survey about their experiences of local NHS services.
IPSOS Mori will be contacting patients around the country until March, this is the largest survey of its kind in Europe, designed to give patients the opportunity to feed back about their experiences of their GP practice. It covers issues that concern patients, such as access to care and satisfaction with treatment. If you receive a questionnaire, please help NHS England by filling it in as soon as possible.
It is really important that we hear your views, even if you have received a questionnaire like this before. Your response will help us to improve local GP practices and other local NHS services so they better meet your needs.

Young Person Patient Participation Forum
The Practice would like to start a Young Person’s Patient Participation Forum for patients aged between 18-40.
If you are interested in taking part please either leave your name and contact details at reception or telephone the surgery to pass on your details.
As from Wednesday 2nd October 2019, the Wednesday afternoon, nurse led baby clinic will be held at the Mottingham practice for the foreseeable future.
Please see below or refer to our ‘Practice Information’ page on our website for our new useful information sheet for patients.
Useful information for patients
If you are under 65 years old with a long term condition or you are over 65 years old you will need a flu vaccination as your immunity weakens as you get older. Please contact the surgery from the 18/9/2019 to book an appointment.
Advanced Nurse Practitioner
If staff members do not give their names at the start of a conversation, please remember to ask them for their names.
Due to an unexpected shortage of practice nurse appointments, the practice has taken the decision to suspend offering travel assessments and appointments to patients, and therefore patients are advised to attend their local travel clinic.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause but we are endeavouring to offer the best care possible to those most in need whilst we have a reduced nursing team.
21st January 2019
Please note as there are more local phlebotomy services now available to patients, Mottingham surgery will no longer be offering a Phlebotomy service and Downham surgery will be reduced to 2 mornings a week, and will be for those patients that have limited mobility or access to other local phlebotomy clinics.
Apologies for the inconvenience this may cause but we are endeavouring to offer the best care possible to those most in need whilst we have a reduced nursing team.
